Some years later....

Wow - just found this blog I started so many years ago and really enjoyed reading through it! I am going to start writing again - but it might take me a while to catch up!!  I am not going to attempt to fill in the gap of the last few years...just the last year and only a fraction of it....here goes....

In October 2017 we had sold our house in Surrey and were in the process of buying a house called Oldbury Lodge in Taunton.  It was an amazing house with 11 acres and an outdoor swimming pool.  However it was also falling apart a bit and full of damp, but we were prepared to sort that out.  We decided that, as we had sold our house for the full asking price we would put all our stuff in storage and rent month-by-month mainly via airbnb until the house was ours.

The woman we were buying off however, got more and more awkward (won't bore you with the details) so we moved out and into an amazing place in Glastonbury - just for a week.  We decided to look at other houses.  We came to look at Bishops Hull House.  It had been offices since 1969 and would need change of use planning permission etc. but we decided as soon as we drove into the driveway that we would buy it!

We had no idea of the pain we would go through over the next 7 months - with planning applications, listed building permission for everything we would change, architects, heritage reports and moving from one place to the next with 98% of our possessions in storage!!

The kids moving out of our house was stressful too....Adam moved in with a neighbour. Not as random as it sounds, he was best mates with his son and knew them very well but he made us feel extremely guilty!! Not like he hadn't had a couple of years of notice! and he was the only one with a decent job!  Since then he has moved in with his girlfriend Erika...phew.

Lissa moved in with her boyfriend and since then they have bought a place together.

Connor...well he moved a couple of times, but is now also living with his girlfriend in Southampton!

So....this post was not in the slightest bit entertaining, but I don't feel I can go forward without some background.  More background will follow....
